Giulio Sheaves (b. 1997) is a London-based artist and photographer working across image-making, video, and archival practices.
My work often revolves around portraiture and memory. I combine traditional and experimental techniques across digital and physical media to explore cathartic expressions of emotion. I’m particularly drawn to the physicality of process and the quiet storytelling found in collage.
I studied Fine Art: Photography at Camberwell College of Arts, after completing a BSc in Wildlife Conservation at the University of Kent. These two distinct paths continue to merge through the analytical and methodical nature of my research, a deep empathy with people, nature, and life on Earth, and a need to express ideas through visually compelling narratives
Alongside my artistic practice, I work as a Fine Art photographer at Chris Beetles Gallery and as part of the digital archiving team at the Jencks Foundation, where I engage with historical materials and objects through high-resolution digitisation.
I’m currently looking for a dedicated studio space to further develop my interdisciplinary projects — particularly those at the intersection of image, object, and personal narrative.
